Square shortcut

To find the square of a number1)   Find  the nearest round figure of the number , which is called base( given below in the table)2)   then find the difference between original number and the base3)   and calculate square according to the formula given in the below table

square of 104

104 is nearer to 100, so base is 100(see above table)

Now find the difference between original number and base

104-100=4

first write the square of the difference obtained i.e.   square of 4 =16

now add the original number to difference  and write it i.e.  104+4= 108

now combine both the numbers obtained i.e. 10816

important note: 



diff2   should be represented as a two digit number

if it is a single digit number, please add zero before the number

if it is a three digit number, write the last two digits and carry the third digit forward
